Burundi Partnership
A former military officer, Aloys Nduwindavyi, LMI’s ministry partner in Burundi, left the army in 2005 to respond to God’s call upon his life for mission and ministry. In addition to planting twelve churches in Burundi and Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), he has established a mission organisation (ROMIM – Revival of Mission International Ministries) and is extremely passionate about mobilising African believers for involvement in mission.
Working Together for God's Glory and Purposes
Since first connecting with LMI in 2017, we have developed a strong partnership built upon the sharing of LMI’s Bible Teaching resources and support for Aloy’s mission inspired vision.
Many in Burundi are using the French version of our ‘Dynamics of Discipleship’ group study resource, and Aloys regularly organises leadership training events using materials featured in LMI’s Bible Teaching Ministry. Moreover, several secondary schools in Burundi are benefitting from materials provided by our Youth & Schools Department.
We have also supported Aloys in the opening of Beersheba House, a Christian retreat and conference centre where he prepares indigenous missionaries for service.
In 2022, we sent a team from the UK to Burundi to undertake leadership training seminars, and we have sponsored a number of business-as-mission micro-enterprise projects according to Aloys’ strategic lead. Those operating micro-enterprise projects have joined together to develop a mission fund to support local ministry and cross-cultural mission, helping to make mission and ministry sustainable through local input.
Partnership Goals
As the Lord leads and provides, we want to further develop our partnership with Aloys to bless and strengthen the Church in Burundi. Our future ministry aims include:
Leadership Training. We want to sponsor more indigenous leadership training events, and send further teams from the UK to Burundi to provide teaching, preaching and encouragement.
Beersheba House. We would like to support missions training at Beersheba House, meeting practical needs at the centre, as Aloys trains up indigenous individuals and families to serve the Lord across Africa.
Business-as-Mission Training. We want to support the creation of more business-as-mission micro-enterprise projects, giving individuals and families a livelihood and growing the fund to support indigenous mission work.
Support for Aloys and Aline. We would like to periodically support Aloys and his wife, Aline, financially as they serve the Lord.
Partner With Us
Your prayerful and financial partnership will make a huge difference, both to Aloys and to those benefitting from his ministry. Please consider partnering with us in this venture as we aim to further assist God’s servant in his work.
