Bible teaching is one of the greatest needs in the Church worldwide. LMI’s Bible Teaching Ministry is aimed at providing sound biblical teaching through distance learning to Christians around the world. Our student sponsorship scheme enables us to send all courses and textbooks free to students that can’t afford to study. This is made possible through the generous giving of God’s people.
LMI’s Christian Education Programme is designed to help a student grow in their faith as they study topics such as Discipleship, Backsliding and Self control. Students develop in their understanding of biblical truth as they study parts of the Old and New Testaments and are encouraged to be effective witnesses through the completion of a reading assignment on evangelism.
The goal of the Women’s Christian Study Programme is to assist women in their spiritual development and to build biblical principles into their lives. Subjects covered include general topics relevant to all Christians, a study on the biblical characters of Ruth and Esther, Old & New Testament reflection as well as a study on being a woman of rest.
The Certificate in Biblical Studies is an in-depth programme of study for the serious student. It differs from the Christian Education Programme in that it includes a greater number of modules and covers additional subjects, for example students complete a study on two minor prophets and a module on the history of Israel. Aside from the additional subjects, the New Testament is explored in greater detail and two subjects relating to Christian development are examined; suffering and perseverance.
The Leadership Study Programme has been specially designed to provide training for those already holding positions of Christian leadership. It examines in depth the essential qualities of leadership and identifies the keys of becoming a more effective and courageous leader. Some of the books included in the Leadership Study Programme are: Excellence in Leadership by John White; Calling Christian Leaders by John Stott; and The Effective Pastor by Peter White.
