LMI's 'A word for your week' devotional taken from Psalm 139:7-10.

O - Omnipresent. Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and you right hand shall hold me.

These questions reassure us that The Lord is everywhere. The God who created the heavens and the earth is omnipresent. The I AM who called Moses in Exodus ch 3 v 14 is the Alpha and the Omega in Rev ch 22 v 13.

The eternal God dwells by His Holy Spirit in the believer’s life. The angel of The Lord is our unseen but not unfelt presence. The promise in Hebrews ch 13 v 5 is ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you’.

How can we doubt such a great God? No matter our age, we can be confident in His love.

God is always near me

Hearing what I say

Knowing all my thoughts and deeds

All my work and play

God is always near me

In the darkest night

He can see me just the same

As by midday light

God is always near me

Though so young and small

Not a look, or word, or thought

But God knows it all.
