Getting to know Susan 

History & Interests 

Susan is married to Brian, and they have three children and four grandchildren, whom she loves to look after. She is a retired teacher and a volunteer counsellor with The Church’s Ministry of Healing. 

As you can imagine, with so much going on it can be hard to ‘put her feet up’, but when she has the opportunity Susan enjoys reading, doing 1000 piece jig saw puzzles and relaxing in the garden. 

LMI Story 

Having enjoyed a long career as a teacher, Susan Hilton’s work as a volunteer administrator in the LMI Bible Teaching Ministry is a tremendous blessing for the mission. 

Since first volunteering in 2005, Susan has helped process hundreds of courses for students in various nations across the world. Her passion for education, meticulousness approach to record keeping and strong organisational skills all lend themselves perfectly to the role. And, as Susan explains, she is blessed through her involvement with LMI – 

“I like to see the progress the various students make through the years they are with us. I am encouraged that they can serve God in their own situations because of what they have learnt through their studies. I also enjoy the fellowship in the office.” 

Favourite Bible Verse 

‘My favourite verse is Joshua 1 v 9: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” 

When I fly to see my daughter in America I often go alone. I have had many diversions and nearly missed connections. I think the Lord is smiling as He says He is with me “wherever” I go! The verse gives me strength in many different situations.’
