From Fear to Freedom

Reformation Day, the 31st October, is when we celebrate the revelation of God to Martin Luther over five hundred years ago.

Luther was a devout, religious and well educated man, and he held an important role in the church and at the University in Wittenberg, Germany. However, he had struggled to find God for himself. He longed to be free from his sin and to be right with God.

Maud Kelly passes into Glory

Everyone at LMI was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Maud Kells OBE, a dedicated servant of Jesus whose perseverance, love and missionary zeal inspired people far and wide.

It was a deep respect for Maud and her incredible efforts that motivated Declan Small, our Digital Developer, to write a blog piece about her life for his ‘God’s Emeralds’ series, as he sought to inspire others as he himself had been inspired by her. You can read his blog entry here: https://lmi-org.net/latest/blog/422-gods-emeralds-maud-kells

We give thanks to God for Maud and trust that her family and friends will know the Lord’s comfort, peace and keeping in the days ahead.

YSO New Recruit Bethany visits Cookstown High

This week our newest recruit, Bethany, will be heading out to her first school since joining as an official staff member! On Wednesday she and Matthew will be heading to Cookstown High School to take a day of RE classes, and on Thursday Danny will be joining Bethany to take the schools' SU group and more RE classes.

Please keep the team in prayer as they travel, speak with the young people, and share the truth of the Gospel.

YSO Mourne Wall Challenge 2023

For the second year in a row, Danny Roberts and a gang of brave, generous and incredibly fit people will take on a HUGE challenge, all with the aim of raising funds for our Youth & Schools Outreach (YSO) work!
The Mourne Wall spans 15 mountains and runs for 22 miles, which the team hope to trek in one day. You heard me right - one day! The aim is to raise funds to aid in the day-to-day work of the YSO team, as well as to go towards a potential opportunity for the team to undertake a programme involving school and church work in Kenya next summer.
