S: SAVIOUR 

Hosea ch 13 v 4 But I am the Lord your God from the land of Egypt; you know no God but me, and besides me there is no Saviour. 

Before Christ was born the angel said in Matthew chapter 1 v21 ‘ She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins’.  Announcing His birth the angel said in Luke ch 2 v11 ‘For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord’.

In Luke chapter 19 v10 Jesus said to Zacchaeus ‘For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost'. 

Christ was born to die so that we may live forever with Him in the glories of Heaven. He took the punishment for our sin and rose again to save us and live in our lives. Acts ch 4 v 12 ‘And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name given among men by which we must be saved’. What a wonderful Saviour! 

I had a debt I could not pay 

He paid the debt He did not owe, 

I needed someone to wash my sins away 

And now I sing a brand new song, 

‘Amazing grace’ all day long 

Christ Jesus paid the debt 

That I could never pay.
